Code execution via unchecked MP4 buffer copy
Published Nov 16, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Heap-based buffer overflow in Adobe Premiere Pro 24.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a malicious MP4 file. The MP4 parser copies user-supplied data into a fixed-length heap buffer without first validating the supplied length. Exploitation requires the current user to open the file or visit a malicious page, and successful code runs in the Premiere Pro process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
