CVE-2023-47053

Sensitive memory disclosure via uninitialized MP4 parser memory

Published Nov 16, 2023 · Updated Sep 4, 2024

Access of uninitialized pointer in Adobe Audition 24.0 and earlier allows attackers to disclose sensitive memory through a malicious MP4 file. During MP4 parsing, the application accesses memory that was not properly initialized before use, exposing process contents. The victim must open the crafted file or visit a page that supplies it; the disclosure can reveal data useful for bypassing ASLR.
