Code execution via unchecked MP4 copy length
Published Nov 16, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Heap-based buffer overflow in Adobe Audition 24.0 and earlier and 23.6.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted MP4 file. The MP4 parser copies user-supplied data into a fixed-length heap buffer without first validating the supplied length. A user must open the malicious file; successful exploitation runs code in the Audition process under the current user's account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
