Arbitrary code execution via out-of-bounds MP4 write
Published Nov 16, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Audition 24.0 and earlier and 23.6.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted MP4 file. The MP4 parser fails to validate user-controlled data before a write exceeds an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file, after which code runs with the privileges of the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
