Arbitrary code execution via MP4 out-of-bounds write
Published Nov 16, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Media Encoder 24.0.2 and earlier and 23.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted MP4 file. The MP4 parser inadequately validates user-supplied data and writes beyond the end of an allocated object. Exploitation requires the victim to visit a malicious page or open the file, and resulting code runs in the current user's process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
