DAG run tampering via unvalidated read-only fields
Published Nov 12, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Incorrect authorization in Apache Airflow before 2.7.3 allows remote authenticated users to alter DAG run details through note submissions. DagRunEditForm rendered fields such as configuration and dates as read-only but populated submitted values without server-side ReadOnly validators. A logged-in user with DAG-view authorization is sufficient; exploitation changes stored run metadata but does not grant broader access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
