Unauthenticated management backend access via null password
Published Nov 4, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
Improper authentication in Yunfan Learning Examination System 6.5 allows remote attackers to access the management backend via a null password. The login function's server-side password verification accepts a password parameter set to null after client-side interception instead of rejecting the request. Knowledge of an account name is required; using an administrator name grants backend access and exposes information available to that account.
