CVE-2023-4694Network attack vector

Service interruption via headerless SOAP message

Published Dec 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Denial of service in HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 firmware before 001.2337A allows remote attackers to interrupt printer service via SOAP. The TCP port 3911 service accepts a SOAP message containing a body but no header and mishandles that malformed message, disrupting availability. Network access to port 3911 is sufficient; HP reports no data exposure or modification, but public material does not specify whether the printer hangs, crashes, or reboots.
