Superadmin code execution via logo upload bypass
Published Oct 30, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Code injection in Crater 6.0.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with superadmin access to execute arbitrary PHP code. CompanyController.php trusts the supplied logo filename after Base64Mime accepts a PNG, so a PHP-named file containing payload code in an IDAT chunk is stored in web-accessible media. Superadmin access is required; requesting the uploaded file executes the embedded code with the web application privileges.
