Authenticated PHP code execution via GetControl injection
Published Oct 27, 2023 · Updated Sep 9, 2024
Server-side template injection in SugarCRM 12 before 12.0.4 and 13 before 13.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The GetControl action accepts crafted request data as template input and evaluates injected PHP because the GecControl path lacks input validation. A regular user account and network access are required, after which code runs in the application context and can read, alter, or interrupt application data and services.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=12.0.0 <12.0.4
- Affected versionversion=13.0.0 <13.0.2.
