CVE-2023-46815Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via SOAP attachment upload

Published Oct 27, 2023 · Updated Sep 9, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in SugarCRM 12 before 12.0.4 and 13 before 13.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The set_note_attachment SOAP call accepts arbitrary files into the upload directory; an uploaded .htaccess overrides the parent execution block before a PHP payload is stored. Regular user privileges and network access to the SOAP endpoint are sufficient, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied code in the web application's server context.
