Unauthorized attachment editing via cached WOPI permission
Published Nov 9, 2023 · Updated Sep 4, 2024
Authorization bypass in Collabora Connector Application before 1.3 allows remote authenticated users to edit view-only attachments. DefaultWopi passes userCanWrite in a WOPI request whose value Collabora caches for the first editing session instead of reevaluating each user's rights. A view-only user must open the same file while that session remains active; the resulting access permits attachment modification.
