CVE-2023-46741

Blob deletion via plaintext checksum secret logging

Published Jan 3, 2024 · Updated Jun 3, 2025

Information disclosure in CubeFS before 3.3.1 allows local users to obtain Blobstore checksum secrets from service logs. During Blobstore access startup, initWithRegionMagic logs the plaintext regionMagic value before deriving token and location secrets from it. Log-read access is required; the exposed secret enables unauthorized blob operations, including deletion.
