CVE-2023-46681

Authenticated command execution via CLI argument injection

Published Dec 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Argument injection in BUFFALO VR-S1000 firmware 2.37 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary commands through the command-line interface. The interface fails to neutralize argument delimiters before passing authenticated input to a command, allowing injected arguments to change command behavior. Access to the product's command-line interface is required, and successful exploitation grants command execution with the interface's device privileges.
