Database manipulation via unfiltered sign-up username
Published Nov 7, 2023 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
SQL injection in Projectworlds Online Job Portal 1.0 allows remote attackers to manipulate its database through the public sign-up form. The sign-up.php handler sends the txt_uname parameter to the database without validating or filtering its characters, allowing crafted SQL syntax to alter query execution. No account or user interaction is required; successful exploitation exposes stored data to reading or modification and enables service interruption.
