Policy-secret disclosure via plaintext enrollment-token logging
Published Oct 26, 2023 · Updated Sep 9, 2024
Sensitive-data logging in Elastic Fleet Server 8.10.0 through 8.10.2 allows remote authenticated users to recover enrollment tokens. At the default info level, the “Found enrollment key” and “Checking enrollment key from database” log paths write token values without redaction. Access to Fleet Server logs is required; a recovered token permits agent enrollment, which can expose policy secrets or inject arbitrary Elasticsearch events.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
