CVE-2023-46665Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrative takeover via unauthenticated password-change request

Published Oct 26, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025

Authentication bypass in Sielco PolyEco1000 allows remote attackers to obtain administrative access through an unauthenticated HTTP POST. The web management interface accepts a password-changing POST request that directly invokes the user object for fixed user and administrator roles without validating an authenticated session. Network access to the device is sufficient; successful exploitation resets privileged credentials and grants control over restricted transmitter functions.
