CVE-2023-46658Network attack vector

Webhook token disclosure via non-constant-time comparison

Published Oct 25, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Timing side channel in Jenkins MSTeams Webhook Trigger Plugin 0.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to recover webhook tokens. The webhook authentication path compares the supplied token with the expected token using an operation whose execution time varies with matching input. Repeated precisely timed requests are required; a recovered token permits invocation of configured webhook jobs without other credentials.
