CVE-2023-46657Network attack vector

Webhook token disclosure via timing comparison

Published Oct 25, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Timing side channel in Jenkins Gogs Plugin 1.0.15 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain a valid webhook token. The webhook endpoint compares the provided and expected token with a non-constant-time equality operation, exposing response-time differences. An unauthenticated network attacker must collect enough timing samples for statistical analysis; a recovered token defeats the webhook token check.
