Path traversal in affected GitHub Enterprise Server releases allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files during Pages builds. GitHub has not disclosed which Pages build component mishandles the attacker-controlled path or which pathname validation is absent. Exploitation requires permission to create and build a Pages site, and the documented consequence is file disclosure from the server.
