Stored script execution via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Nov 8, 2023 · Updated Apr 29, 2026
Stored XSS in D. Relton Medialist 1.3.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through shortcode attributes. The plugin's shortcode processing accepts user-supplied attributes without sufficient input sanitization and renders them without sufficient output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store a crafted shortcode in a page or post, and the script executes when another user views that content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
