Service interruption via formDosCfg stack overflow
Published Oct 25, 2023 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK X2000R Firmware 1.0.0-B20230221.0948.web allows attackers to crash the router via crafted input. The formDosCfg management handler writes attacker-controlled request data beyond a stack buffer because public materials establish inadequate bounds checking but do not identify the triggering parameter or copy operation. Successful triggering corrupts process memory and interrupts service; published assessments disagree on whether access is unauthenticated over a network or requires adjacent, low-privileged access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
