Remote code execution via uninstallPluginReqHandle stack overflow
Published Oct 25, 2023 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Stack overflow in TP-Link TL-WR886N firmware 7.0_3.0.14_Build_221115_Rel.56908n allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The uninstallPluginReqHandle function writes attacker-controlled request data past a stack buffer, although the triggering field is undisclosed. No authentication or user interaction is required; network reachability to the router is the exposure gate.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
