Cookie theft via unfiltered library name
Published Oct 27, 2023 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Stored XSS in PwnCYN YXBOOKCMS 1.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through the library name setting. The backend general-settings handler stores the library name without filtering, and pages render the value as the website title without neutralizing script content. Backend access is required to store the payload, and a later page visit triggers it in the visitor's browser, allowing cookie theft.
