Unauthenticated account deletion via public customer route
Published Dec 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Broken function-level authorization in EverShop before 1.0.0-rc.8 allows remote attackers to delete customer accounts over HTTP. The deleteCustomer route marks DELETE /customers/:id as public, so it performs account deletion without requiring administrator authentication. A public GraphQL query exposes each customer's UUID and delete endpoint, enabling unauthenticated deletion of every account on an instance.
