CVE-2023-46447

Glucose measurement disclosure via unencrypted BLE transmission

Published Jan 20, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025

Cleartext transmission in POPS! Rebel 5.0 for Android allows physically proximate attackers to read glucose measurements over BLE. The application's BLE data path sends glucose measurements without transport encryption, allowing nearby passive collection of sensitive diabetic data. Access requires BLE proximity and no authentication or user interaction; the reported consequence is disclosure only, with no integrity or availability impact.
