SMTP credential disclosure via cleartext configuration storage
Published Nov 30, 2023 · Updated Sep 20, 2024
Cleartext credential storage in all LOYTEC LINX-212 and LINX-151 versions allows remote attackers to disclose SMTP account credentials. The dpal_config.wbx file stores hard-coded SMTP client credentials in cleartext, while dpal_config.zml exposes the stored data. Unauthenticated network access permits credential disclosure and email authentication bypass without reported integrity or availability impact.
