Credential theft via cleartext HTTP Basic Authentication

Cleartext credential transmission in LOYTEC electronics GmbH LINX Configurator all versions allows remote attackers to steal administrator passwords. LINX Configurator sends the administrator username and password in a base64-encoded HTTP Basic Authentication header over unencrypted HTTP. Attackers positioned to capture management traffic can decode the credentials and authenticate to the device, exposing the administrator password.
