Unauthenticated project control via exposed web interface
Published Nov 4, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Missing authentication in preinstalled LWEB-802 on LOYTEC devices allows remote attackers to modify projects through lweb802_pre/. The web interface exposes project creation, editing, deletion, settings changes, GUI control, and system-log deletion without checking credentials. Network access to the device's HTTP service is sufficient, and the consequence is unauthorized control of LWEB project content and its graphical interface.
