Stored script execution via unvalidated site address
Published Oct 31, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
Stored XSS in MiniCMS 1.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted site-address value. The administrative configuration page stores a javascript: URL entered as the site address, and /mc-admin/head.php later renders it as a website link without neutralizing the executable scheme. An authenticated user must save the value, and execution requires a victim to click the resulting link; the demonstrated impact is script execution in the victim's browser.
