Stored script execution via unescaped email settings
Published Sep 5, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Media Jedi LLP User Private Files 2.0.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through admin settings. The plugin stores upfp_email_content_field and upfp_email_subject_field values without sufficient sanitization, then renders them unescaped on /wp-admin/admin.php?page=upvf-free. Administrator access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites with unfiltered_html disabled; opening the settings page runs the stored script in another user's browser.
