Reflected XSS via unescaped tab parameter
Published Oct 21, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in AshanJay Designs LLC EventON Lite 2.2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts via a crafted tab parameter. The EventON admin settings page returns the tab query value without sufficient sanitization or output escaping, allowing an event-handler payload to become executable markup. An attacker needs no account but must induce a logged-in WordPress user to open the crafted admin URL; the script then runs in the affected site's origin.
