CVE-2023-46324Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Private-key recovery via unvalidated curve points

Published Oct 23, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Invalid curve handling in free5GC UDM before 1.2.0 allows remote attackers to recover the Profile B private key through crafted SUCIs. In pkg/suci/suci.go, profileB passes attacker-supplied uncompressed P-256 coordinates to ScalarMult without first calling IsOnCurve. Exploitation requires Go before 1.19 and repeated access to the SUCI deconcealment path; the recovered key decrypts intercepted Profile B subscriber identifiers.
