Script execution via unescaped PHP_SELF path
Published Oct 31, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Reflected XSS in Katie Seaborn Zotpress 7.3.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through a crafted URL. The plugin places attacker-controlled PHP_SELF data into page output without sufficient sanitization or escaping, making the request path executable markup. Exploitation requires an affected configuration such as Apache with mod_php and a user who follows the crafted link; scripts run in the vulnerable site's browser origin.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
