CVE-2023-46306Public exploit

Root command execution via GNSS alignment race

Published Oct 22, 2023 · Updated Sep 12, 2024

OS command injection in NetModule Router Software 4.6 before 4.6.0.106 and 4.8 before 4.8.0.101 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The handler embeds raw device_id in a process-control path and concatenates that path into a kill shell command; a second request races cleanup to reach the unsafe branch. Administrative web access and winning the race are required; successful injection runs attacker-supplied commands as root.
