Authenticated PHP code execution via currency setting
Published Apr 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Code injection in Vtiger CRM 7.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code through the user setup endpoint. The Users_CRMSetup updateBaseCurrency path accepts an unchecked currency_name value, wraps it in PHP syntax, and updateConfigFile writes it into config.inc.php. Any authenticated account with a session cookie and CSRF token can reach the unprotected setup action; every page load then executes the injected code.
