Admin-interface denial via unchecked language selection
Published May 29, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Denial of service in MERCUSYS MW325R EU V3 1.11.0 allows remote attackers to hide the admin interface through an unauthenticated HTTP request. The language-switch handler accepts and saves nonexistent currentLanguage or languageList values, leaving required interface files unresolved. WAN reachability is sufficient; the web server remains running, but the management page stays blank until the language is restored or the router is rebooted.
