CVE-2023-46288Network attack vector

Authenticated configuration disclosure via boolean option parsing

Published Oct 23, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Information exposure in Apache Airflow 2.4.0 through 2.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive configuration via the REST API. The config_endpoint.py handlers parse webserver.expose_config as a boolean and serialize configuration with sensitive-value display enabled instead of honoring the valid non-sensitive-only setting. Exposure requires an authenticated API user and the nondefault non-sensitive-only configuration; the default False setting hides configuration entirely.
