Script execution via unescaped select options
Published Oct 20, 2023 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Cross-site scripting in NagVis before 1.9.38 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through crafted select options. The select function in share/server/core/functions/html.php inserts option values and display labels into HTML without output encoding. Exploitation requires a user to render attacker-influenced option data, exposing or changing data accessible to that user's NagVis session.
