CVE-2023-46285Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service crash via crafted RT message

Published Dec 12, 2023 · Updated May 24, 2025

Improper input validation in five Siemens industrial products allows remote attackers to crash the UMC RT service via TCP port 4004. The UMC RT service accepts a specifically crafted message on port 4004 without adequate input validation and crashes while processing it. No authentication or user interaction is required; a watchdog restarts the service after the resulting interruption.
