Unauthenticated critical-function access via missing ah_webui authentication
Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Feb 20, 2025
Buffer overflow in Extreme Networks IQ Engine before 10.6r1a and 10.6r2 through 10.6r4 allows network-adjacent attackers to reach ah_webui functions. The CNA identifies the flaw in the TCP port 3009 service but does not disclose the overflowing input or unchecked copy operation; ZDI instead attributes access to missing authentication. No authentication is required, and ZDI states that root code execution requires chaining this access with other vulnerabilities.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Published CVSS scores
CVSS describes severity. EPSS estimates exploitation probability.
