Session-context script execution via unverified postMessage origin
Published Nov 7, 2023 · Updated Sep 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Squidex before 7.9.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in an authenticated user's session. The editor-sdk.js listener accepts messages from any origin and passes valueChanged data through SquidexFormField to editor.render. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to visit an attacker-controlled page that frames the public editor sample; code runs in that user's Squidex context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
