Server-side request forgery via unchecked webhook endpoints
Published Aug 30, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
SSRF in BookStack before 23.08 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to issue server-side requests through webhooks. DispatchWebhookJob sends the configured endpoint with Laravel's HTTP client without validating the URL against an allowed-host policy. Administrator access and a webhook-triggering event are required; the reported consequence is limited disclosure from server-reachable resources.
