Authenticated log disclosure via filename enumeration
Published Mar 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Information disclosure in affected IBM DS8900F HMC microcode allows remote authenticated users to view sensitive log information. The HMC log-viewing path returns log contents when supplied an enumerated filename; IBM has not disclosed the affected endpoint or missing validation check. A valid HMC account and network access to the management interface are required, and IBM states that the exposed HMC logs contain no customer data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
