CVE-2023-46144Network attack vector

Application tampering via bypassed project integrity checks

Published Dec 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024

Code download without integrity checks in Phoenix Contact PLCnext products 2024.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter applications. Specially crafted changes to logic files, executable logic, or configurations evade project-integrity comparison and warning functions. Low-privilege access is required, and undetected altered applications can execute on connected controllers and compromise engineering-station and device integrity.
