CVE-2023-46104Network attack vector

Authenticated denial of service via ZIP bomb

Published Dec 19, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Uncontrolled resource consumption in Apache Superset before 2.1.3 and 3.0.0 through 3.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to exhaust resources. The ZIP import path for databases, dashboards, and datasets processes archive entries without first enforcing per-entry size and compression-ratio limits. Any account permitted to import those assets can submit a highly compressed archive and interrupt service availability by consuming excessive host resources.
