Script execution via unescaped Trackback form fields
Published Oct 23, 2023 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Reflected XSS in Geeklog 2.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through Trackback form fields. The Trackback editor renders Service, Website, and URL to Ping values in HTML input elements without neutralizing quote-breaking event-handler text. Administrator access and pointer interaction with a crafted field are required, and the injected JavaScript runs in the administrator's browser.
