Arbitrary script execution via reflected msg parameter
Published Nov 13, 2023 · Updated Sep 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Code-Projects Blood Bank 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary script in a victim browser via the msg URL parameter. The index.php endpoint reflects the untrusted msg query value into the returned page without adequate output encoding, enabling injected script execution when the crafted link is rendered. Exploitation requires a victim to open the attacker-controlled URL; impact is client-side script execution in the application origin, with no evidence of server-side compromise.
