Unauthenticated code execution via lang stack overflow
Published Oct 16, 2023 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Stack overflow in affected TOTOLINK X5000R and A7000R firmware allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted lang value. Public records identify the setLanguageCfg function and lang request parameter but do not disclose the precise unsafe memory-copy operation or destination buffer involved. An adjacent network position is sufficient and no credentials or user interaction are required; successful memory corruption can interrupt service or take control of the firmware.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
