Database disclosure via unescaped shortcode column
Published Oct 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SQL injection in SlimStat Analytics 5.0.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to extract database data through a shortcode. The slimstat_shortcode method accepts the user-controlled w attribute as a column, and get_top interpolates it into SELECT and GROUP BY clauses outside the prepared-query placeholder. Contributor-level access is required, and time-based responses expose database contents without returning query results directly.
